Round Rock is home to 106,000 people with more coming in each and every week. With it’s great price range per square foot on nice, new to newer homes plus all the amenities, it’s easy to see why this city attracts so many families.
When you are in the process of moving your family, one of the first things buyers want in a prospective new home is a close proximity to good parks. Luckily no matter where you are hoping to land within the city of Round Rock, there is a great park just around the corner!
Take a look at the following list of the Top 5 Round Rock Parks and see for yourself:

2. Dog Depot Dog Park – 800 Deerfoot Drive
If your children are of the four legged variety as opposed to two, then the next park on the list may be just what you are looking for. This 1.85 acre leash-free space is perfect for your pooch to get some sunshine while socializing. The park features different areas for large breeds and small breeds, as well as agility elements and lots of room to just run.
3. Play For All Abilities – 151 North AW Grimes Blvd
Another large gem of a park that is currently undergoing a much anticipated expansion, this park features different pods dedicated to helping children develop specific skills, with handicap accessible plays capes and swings.
One of my boys’ favorite sections of this park is the little town with working street lights. They love to bring their bikes, scooters, and skateboards and ride on the streets!
4. Downtown Plaza
The Prete Plaza in downtown Round Rock is especially fun on those hot Texas Summer days! Featuring a large splash pad and pavilion rentals, it makes seeing downtown especially cool.
5. Shaylah Dame Skate Park – 1600 Gattis School Road
Yet another favorite of my boys is the Shaylah Dame Skate Park on Gattis School Road. While mothers’ nerves may not, aspiring boarders will love this park, with 14,000 square feet of riding space including a huge bowl. As with all parks, remember to keep it safe and wear protective riding gear!
Hope to see you around at one of these top Round Rock Parks!
